Meet Gill
Many people in New Plymouth know me from my years as the owner of Curves New Plymouth, where I had the privilege of supporting hundreds of women to improve their health, build confidence, and discover that lasting change comes from small, consistent steps rather than perfection.
What I loved most wasn't the exercise itself—it was seeing people realise they were capable of more than they thought. Whether they wanted more energy, better health, or simply to feel like themselves again, I loved being part of their journey.
Over the years, my passion for helping people has led me to become a Health Coach, Personal Trainer, Functional Ageing Specialist, and Community Educator with Alzheimer's Taranaki. Through this work, and through my own family's experience of dementia, I've seen how easy it is for people to put everyone else's needs before their own.
Today, I focus on supporting people in two areas that matter deeply to me: helping people create sustainable lifestyle changes, and helping dementia carers care for themselves while caring for someone they love.
I don't believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. I believe in listening, understanding your unique situation, and helping you find realistic ways to move forward. My role isn't to tell you what to do—it's to walk alongside you, offering support, encouragement, and practical tools to help you build a healthier, more fulfilling life.
